I don't know if I got a defect, but neither the apple nor the potato went through. It got stuck in the middle and couldn't be pushed through. I had to use a knife to pry it out, and when I pressed the lid on the side, both the apple and the potato broke, but it still couldn't push through the stuck fruit or vegetable. It can only grind eggs, but there are more convenient devices for eggs. Fast delivery
